How is shipping and handling calculated?

The shipping and handling charge you see in BackerKit is a bare-bones cost–we are not profiting from shipping fees. The shipping and handling charges have been meticulously calculated by country and include FedEx shipping fees as well as fulfillment/handling fees charged by our fulfillment house. In an effort to ensure your packages get to you as safely and quickly as possible, we have partnered with a high capacity, international shipping facility to get Stickybones to 97 countries around the globe and all across the USA. Your perks will be in great hands.

What are my Stickybones color options?

Stickybones are being made in (backer voted) Limited Edition Spark Blue and Dark Storm (This is a standard color.) SEE PHOTOS in add-on section for color examples. (If you’ve seen colors other than these two, then you were looking at manufacturing samples and not finished products. It is possible for us to create Stickybones in other colors in the future.)

When will my order ship?

Once you’ve filled out your BackerKit survey and paid shipping and handling charges, we will be making efforts to ship in the order in which we received your first contribution to our campaign. WE ARE STILL IN ACTIVE PRODUCTION and creating backer’s brand new Stickybones and Fly-Rigs every day. We will keep shipping as the brand new Stickybones come off the production line. Depending on when you contributed, you could be in the first group, or you may likely need to wait until our manufacturer makes your own personal Stickybones and Fly-Rigs. The exact date will simply depend on how fast our manufacturer can produce, as well as how far you live from California and how long your shipment will need to be in transit. You will be notified when your order ships and you will get FedEx tracking information emailed to you. Once that happens, be on the lookout for your shipment!

INTERNATIONAL BACKERS----PLEASE READ! How does the international shipping process work?

You’ll pay your shipping and handling fees here in BackerKit. However, as indicated in the perk description, you will also be required to pay customs/duties (aka import taxes) to your destination country’s government. HOW IT WORKS: 1.) You pay your shipping and handling fees in BackerKit. 2.) When your Stickybones has been produced, we will ship your product to you via FedEx and email you tracking info. 3.)Your shipment gets stopped in your country’s customs agency. 4.) You will receive a request for payment of duties/taxes/VAT from FedEx. This could come as a phone call (so make sure you provide a phone number!) or email. 5.) Once you pay your import taxes (and please do this QUICKLY!) FedEx will continue delivery to the address you provided in BackerKit.

INTERNATIONAL BACKERS (part 2): Customs/Import Tax---what happens if I don't pay it?

If you refuse or otherwise do not pay your government obligated import taxes/customs/duties in a timely manner, your perks will be confiscated by your country’s customs agency and we cannot be responsible for this nor replace your shipment. For this reason, it is incredibly important that you pay these fees as SOON as you are asked, to avoid this undesirable situation and to get your Stickybones to your door as smoothly as possible. Since we at Stickybones are not licenced tax professionals we cannot provide tax estimates, however, here is a great resource if you would like to generate an estimate yourself: https://www.dutycalculator.com/. No, we are currently sold out. However we plan to make more and release another run at a later date.

Yes, you can and BackerKit is setup to handle that. As you go through this survey, there will be an add-on section where you can order additional Stickybones and/or Fly-Rig(s).

I contributed multiple times in Indiegogo, how does that effect my survey?

In the effort to make it easier and avoid multiple shipping charges to you, we combined your multiple orders into one survey. You will notice that some of your perks are showing up in the “add ons” section when you check out. That’s fine! The only thing that matters is that all of your items are there at check out.

Current Estimated Shipping Date: August 2018

The FIRST ORDERS will begin shipping within days and will be shipped in chronological order. As our manufacturers continue to produce Stickybones and Fly-Rigs we will continue to ship out orders as soon as they become available fresh off the production line until every backer has been fulfilled.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
